Last friday I went to Schiphol at the information desk of Iceland Air. I was asking what requirements there are to be made to bring a bicycle. Each airline has different requirements. The bike should be transported in a box and this I could buy at Schiphol. At the KLM these boxes cost 18 euros but sell them only to those people for whom they also do the transport handling. So that took me to the basement where the luggage info is. There does a bike box 23 euros, but than you do have a nice Brown one with Schiphol logo. How to get a bike box in a car? First run with this crazy big flat by of approximately 1.80 at 1.20 on my head through the departure hall and garage to my car. There I discovered that the box doesn’t fit in my car this way. By folding him into each other it just fit in to the back of my Ford Mondeo station. Now we have a cardboard Memorial in the living room.
